Missouri Southern
Diamond is a transfer student at MSSU. Being a transfer student myself, I (Melissa) remember how difficult it was to transition and find community in a new place. Diamond was feeling the exact same way. Feeling particularly lonely one Tuesday last month she prayed that God would bring her to a group of Christians that she could serve alongside and grow in her faith with. That same day she saw Davy, Bible open, discipling two MSSU guys. Diamond knew that God had answered her prayer and she immediately approached their table and asked what group they were apart of. She came to Cru that night and signed up for leadership.
I have had the privilege of meeting with her the last few weeks to train her how to lead a Bible study which she will be launching at the beginning of the Spring semester. We are praising God for Diamond and that he answered her prayer for community. Please pray for Diamond and our other leaders as they prepare to invest in the lives of their peers.
Beyond Conference
If you could get a group of 100+ juniors and seniors together in a room would you do it? Of course you would! And so would we. Every fall Cru gathers upperclassmen from around our region to help them learn how to continue walking with Jesus after college is over. Were you ever trained on how to do that effectively? Trained how to share Jesus in your workplace? Most of the world probably weren’t, which is why we go to great lengths to see our students sent out with tools and resources to help them launch movements among their co-workers and communities. Pictured above is the group of students that attended from Southwest Missouri. They will head off in different directions to be a part of God’s story around the world and some will likely work with us at Cru for at least a couple years. Our country needs a new generation of leaders to rise up from the college campus, devoted to seeing the gospel go forth. Please set aside time to pray for these juniors and seniors as they prepare for that journey.
Prayer Requests
- Please pray for our team as we wrap up the first semester on campus. Many are tired from a busy semester. Pray we finish strong and that God provides rest for us this Christmas season.
- Pray that students encounter Christ, grow in their faith, and build community at DCC this year.
- Praise God with us! Baby Adeline is doing extremely well in the NICU. She should get to come home right on time. Please continue to pray for her and our friends Sam and Leslie as they walk through this difficult season.
HOW CAN WE PRAY FOR YOU? FILL OUT THE FORM TO THE RIGHT AND LET US KNOW!
BABIES, BABIES, BABIES!
We are blessed that our coworkers also have babies Aiden’s age. It is such a joy for us to experience parenthood with them and AIden loves all his little friends.
