October Prayer Letter

#What’sTheDifference

Hashtags. Social media. This generation of college students share their lives on the internet. Thankfully, 144 students used their Facebooks, Twitters, and Instagrams to further the Gospel. Each student made a YouTube video that explained how Christ has made a difference in their lives. They shared these videos on their social media outlets and wore buttons and  stickers with the hashtag #WhatsTheDifference. Students used the videos as a springboard to get into spiritual conversations with their friends. They even used the buzz on campus to engage in conversations with strangers in the student union. The YouTube channel received over 18,000 views! MSU football player, Dylan (pictured above, left) had 873 views on his video alone. Praise the Lord for people hearing the Gospel through these faithful students’ stories.

“God has in every way made me a new person.”

Kristin, our weekly meeting emcee, said this in her What’s the Difference video. Three years ago she was living a double life, trying to make everything seem fine when in reality she was actively pursuing sin, her heart far from the Lord. Now, as a senior she is passionately pursuing Christ. So much so that she is surrendering her future to the Lord. She will be deferring medical school for a year to serve with Cru overseas. Praise God for more laborers in the harvest field!

Prayer Requests
  • Pray for the students who came in contact with the videos from our “What’s the Difference” outreach. Pray that Christ would become the difference in their lives as well.
  • Pray for our friends, Sam and Leslie. who are on staff at Kansas State. Their baby, Adeline, came 10 weeks early via emergency c-section. Pray for Leslie as she recovers, baby Adeline to grow strong and healthy, and for their family as they endure this long road ahead.

AIDEN JAMES
Our sweet boy is 3 months old! He is smiling and cooing all the time. Here we are at our church’s trunk or treat. He was the cutest little pumpkin we’ve ever seen.

KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY
Davy had the privilege of speaking about spiritual multiplication at K-State’s Cru a few weeks ago. Pray for their campus as students seek to make disciples that will make disciples.
WHAT'S NEXT?
1,000+ college students from six states will gather in Denver, CO for DCC. Each year this conference is incredibly instrumental in the lives of our students. They will hear from top notch speakers, grow in community with other believers, and take steps of faith sharing the love of Christ with people in Denver. If you would like to provide a scholarship for students to attend this conference please contact us by filling out the form to the right.
